Prophecy -50

Yesterday we discussed the dark ages a bit, we talked about the horrific dark period in our earth's history where under the guise of Christianity Papal Rome exerted such authority that putting to death those who opposed them, torturing those who were contrary to their beliefs, was something common and widespread.

During that time not all of God's people were wiped out. Throughout history God has kept at least a small group of those He can call His true followers, from harm's way. While many who followed the truth in Christ sincerely were brought to horrific ends- among them the Apostles themselves- God could not allow all of His followers to be destroyed.

Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he (((the Roman power))))* corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Dan 11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
Dan 11:34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
Dan 11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

Among those who kept a vigil over the truth were the Waldeneses-

'In 1179, some Waldensians went to Rome, where Pope Alexander III forbade explanation or critical interpretation (exegesis) without authorization from the local clergy.[5] They disobeyed and began to preach according to their own understanding of the scriptures.
Waldensians were divided by three types of activity: Sandaliati, who received sacred orders and were to prove the heresiarchs wrong; Doctores, who instructed and trained missionaries; and Novellani, who preached to the general population.[6] They were also called Insabbatati, Sabati, Inzabbatati for keeping the Sabbath and/or rejecting all religious festivals.[7] They were also sometimes called Sabotiers, which some sources state was due to the unusual type of sabot they used as footwear.[8]

Seen by the Roman Catholic Church as unorthodox, they were formally declared heretics by Pope Lucius III in 1184 at the Synod of Verona, and by the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215.[5] In 1211, more than 80 were burned as heretics at Strasbourg, beginning several centuries of persecution that nearly destroyed the movement.[9] Part of their legacy is recognized as works of the writer Henri Arnaud. The Waldensian Church of Italy has survived to the present day.[10]'

Protesting the Catholic rule, protesting the Papal dictates that were against God's teaching even came from some in their own ranks.

In the 800's--

'As bishop of Turin, Claudius found that men were often directed to go on pilgrimage to Rome for penance and that worshippers were accustomed to venerate Christ and the saints by bowing before images and relics. Claudius, coming from an educated background, was not greatly exposed to such provincial modes of worship.[9] He made attacks on the use of images, relics, and crosses, he opposed pilgrimages to obtain absolution, and he had little regard for the authority of the pope due to his belief that all bishops were equal.[3]

Claudius was a heretic in the view of Dungal and Jonas of Orléans, who later wrote to refute some of his teachings at the request of the emperor.[3] The last recorded act of Claudius is in a charter of the monastery of St Peter at Novalesa in May 827.[1] He was dead by the time Dungal finished his Responsa contra peruersas Claudii Taurinensis episcopi sententias late in 827, so it is presumable that he died that year.[1]'

The rejection of the decree to worship images--

'[14] Dupin, Eccles. Hist., cent. 9. The worship of images was decreed by the second Council of Nice; but that decree
was rejected by France, Spain, Germany, and the diocese of Milan. The worship of images was moreover condemned
by the Council of Frankfort, 794. Claude, in his letter to Theodemir, says: – "Appointed bishop by Louis, I came to
Turin. I found all the churches full of the filth of abominations and images... If Christians venerate the images of saints,
they have not abandoned idols, but only changed their names." (Mag. Bib., tome 4, part 2, p. 149.)'

As the Papal church introduced it's various perversions always there were those who opposed these abominations. There were those who allowed themselves to be called heretics rather than worship idols, there were those who were outspoken against the transubstantiation of the eucharist-

'Berengar of Tours (c. 999–January 6, 1088) was a French 11th century Christian theologian and Archdeacon of Angers, a scholar whose leadership of the cathedral school at Chartres set an example of intellectual inquiry through the revived tools of dialectic that was soon followed at cathedral schools of Laon and Paris, and who disputed with the Church leadership over the doctrine of transubstantiation in the Eucharist.'

Those who were against the change and perversion of the Sabbath to Sunday.

Read this--

'Early church

According to Bauckham, the post-apostolic church contained diverse practices as regards Sabbath.[1] "In the first centuries the true (seventh day) Sabbath had been kept by all Christians. They were zealous for the honor of God, and, believing that His law is immutable, they zealously guarded the sacredness of its precepts".[2] "That the attention of the people might be called to the Sunday, it was made a festival in honor of the resurrection of Christ. Religious services were held upon it; yet it was regarded as a day of recreation, the Sabbath being still sacredly observed."[2]

Widespread seventh-day Sabbath observance by Gentile Christians prevailed in the 3rd and 4th centuries.

In the 4th century, Socrates Scholasticus Church History book 5 states:[3]
For although almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the sacred mysteries on the sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and at Rome, on account of some ancient tradition, have ceased to do this.

On the seventh of March, A.D. 321, the Roman Emperor Constantine issued a decree making Sunday a day of rest from labor stating:

All judges and city people and the craftsmen shall rest upon the venerable day of the sun. Country people, however, may freely attend to the cultivation of the fields, because it frequently happens that no other days are better adapted for planting the grain in the furrows or the vines in trenches. So that the advantage given by heavenly providence may not for the occasion of a short time perish.

All along the huge broad path of corruption there exists a much smaller, much narrower path of truth. Along those two paths people walk and have walked since sin entered the world. Right now YOU are on one of those paths. Right now I AM on one of those paths. Every single human being exist on one path or the other. There is a path of truth and a path of lies. Unfortunately for a lot of people Satan has prettied up the path of lies to make it look almost exactly how one might imagine the path of truth. Only those who sincerely desire the truth of God no matter the cost- will receive that truth. Those who would rather believe lies will be allowed to do so. No one is force onto the path of Truth.

By the grace of God may we continue to study HIS truth. We have these prophecies and we have history and the two go together. This is the 50th study focusing on prophecy studying the Book of Daniel, and we still have a long way to go. I'm not going to stop, this has been an amazing blessing for me and I hope any others who are reading this study are also being blessed.

All glory goes to God, all praise, all honor to our amazing heavenly High Priest, our King, our Savior!

May we be blessed to continue this study tomorrow learning more and more of God's love, of God's truth.

Amen.

Prophecy 49

*The HE is the Roman power. We really need to remember these are powers at play here political, religious powers.

We've already talked about God's covenant, but here it is mentioned again. God's covenant with His people is His truth. When any are against the truth they are against God's covenant. The Roman power -pagan/papal holds little with God's whole truth and no matter how many lies are mingled with truth, a single lie corrupts the truth. God would only have the entire truth, never having anything to do with a single lie, not even lies we might call harmless and tout them as white lies.

When paganism introduced it's rituals and merged them with Christianity they brought with them man's laws breaking God's laws. Man substituting God's truth for the beliefs of false gods. Sunday- the day of the Sun. Sunday a day for worshipping the sun.

Sól also was called Sunna, Sunne, and Frau Sunne, from which are derived the words, sun and Sunday.

Pasted from

The English noun Sunday derived sometime before 1250 from sunedai, which itself developed from Old English (before 700) Sunnandæg (literally meaning "sun's day"), which is cognate to other Germanic languages, including Old Frisian sunnandei, Old Saxon sunnundag, Middle Dutch sonnendach (modern Dutch zondag), Old High German sunnun tag (modern German Sonntag), and Old Norse sunnudagr (Danish and Norwegian søndag, and Swedish söndag). The Germanic term is a Germanic interpretation of Latin dies solis ("day of the sun"), which is a translation of the Greek heméra helíou.[2] The p-Celtic Welsh language also translates the Latin "day of the sun" as dydd Sul.

Pasted from

The day of the sun-- the very god so many pagans worship, not God, but the sun god, the sun. Worshipping the sun, not worshipping God.

With sun worshipping introduced to Christianity, a compromise was made towards the pagans drawing them into a whole new religion, but it was NOT God's truth, it was NOT God's religion, but rather a false, corrupted religion put up in its place. The covenant was broken once more. Wickedness was done against the covenant.

Now we need to realize something here-- Daniel was given over and over prophecies that all led up to when? The time of the end. All of the prophecies pointed towards that very first prophecy- that statue whose destruction would come at the very end as God's new world is ushered in.

This prophecy in Daniel 11 leads up to that end as well.

We've gone through quite a bit of history but this next bit takes in a long span. Just as the Dark Ages of our history are known for being- just that- Dark times.

'Dark Ages (historiography), the concept of a supposed period of intellectual darkness that occurred in Europe following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire.
the European Middle Ages (5th to 15th centuries AD)'

Pasted from

Dark Ages" is a historical periodization emphasizing the cultural and economic deterioration that supposedly occurred in Europe following the decline of the Roman Empire.[1][2] The label employs traditional light-versus-darkness imagery to contrast the "darkness" of the period with earlier and later periods of "light". The period was characterized by a paucity of historical and other written records for much of the period, rendering it obscure to historians. The term "Dark Age" itself derives from the Latin saeculum obscurum, originally applied by Caesar Baronius in 1602 to a tumultuous period in the 10th and 11th century.[3]
Originally, the term characterized the bulk of the Middle Ages, or roughly the 6th to 13th centuries, as a period of intellectual darkness between the extinguishing of the "light of Rome" after the end of Late Antiquity, and the rise of the Italian Renaissance in the 14th century.[4] This definition is still found in popular usage,[1][2][5] but increased recognition of the accomplishments of the Middle Ages since the 19th century has led to the label being restricted in application. Since the 20th century, it is frequently applied only to the earlier part of the era, the Early Middle Ages (c. 5th–10th century).[6][7] However, many modern scholars who study the era tend to avoid the term altogether for its negative connotations, finding it misleading and inaccurate for any part of the Middle Ages.[8][9]
The concept of a Dark Age originated with the Italian scholar Petrarch (Francesco Petrarca) in the 1330s, and was originally intended as a sweeping criticism of the character of Late Latin literature.[4][10] Petrarch regarded the post-Roman centuries as "dark" compared to the light of classical antiquity. Later historians expanded the term to refer to the transitional period between Roman times and the High Middle Ages (c. 11th–13th century), including not only the lack of Latin literature, but also a lack of contemporary written history, general demographic decline, limited building activity and material cultural achievements in general. Later historians and writers picked up the concept, and popular culture has further expanded on it as a vehicle to depict the Middle Ages as a time of backwardness, extending its pejorative use and expanding its scope.[11]

Reading this we can see where a label given and accepted, a label taught in history- modern history for a long, long time- is being altered. People want to strip away those words Dark Ages, but they hold true. There was a long period of time for a lot of intellectual as well as religious darkness. You know as well as I know that knowledge was stunted for a long, long time as opposed to the enlightenment we have found ourselves in since the late 1700's on right into the 1800's, and of course 1900's and today we are so incredible farther ahead in just a few hundred years it's hard to comprehend how people lived in such an intellectual void. You have to stop and think that our modes of transportation remained virtually unchanged for thousands and thousands of years only to go from horses to cars, to planes, to rockets, to shuttles. We're talking thousands of years of the same thing only to be changed phenomenally in just a few hundred years. No matter what contemporary people wish to say, wish to change to better suit them, FACTS speak for themselves.

From the 6th to the 15th centuries… 900 years the world was coming caught up in a period of time unlike any other. The Roman Empire fell and in its place NO other world empire came up but things broke apart never to be joined again. Our world today still has those results of that time when the empire was shattered. There was only a gradual rise up out of those 'dark ages', it wasn't instantaneous, just as little is. We have to stop here though and look at the 'dark ages' for a bit. Reread this--

God's people would -

Fall by the sword.
Fall by flame.
Fall by captivity.
Fall by spoil.

For how long? Many days.

Falling, tried, purged.

What happened during this time for God's true people? They were horrifically oppressed for all that Christianity was now accepted in the mainstream. The false religious force under the guise of being truly Christ's persecuted those who truly were Christ's.

Who hasn't heard of the persecution of any who defied the papal rule?

The Roman Catholic history is rife with its stifling, oppressive control over people. Having people put to death- horrible deaths, torturous deaths all in the name of God. These people were FAR from being Christ-like. Christ would NEVER have approved of any of this, not one bit and yet these people called themselves God's, these people called themselves Christians, these people today still call themselves God's only true church yet they still hold to many, many perverted rites not Biblical at all. These rituals are gross atrocities yet so few can see them for what they really, truly are. People are blind because they do NOT want to see.

Darkness enveloped the world as God predicted it would.

May God please help us to understand His truths. There is much more to understand and we cannot of our own selves comprehend anything.

More tomorrow by God's grace.

In His amazing love!

Amen!

All Glory to Our Creator

Psa 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

The heavens declare the glory of God.

When we read of amazing celestial occurrences how can we NOT acknowledge the glory of God, the Creator of all things?

Some scientists and self-obsessed people who believe only in their own imaginings and supposed superiority like to take these wonders and try to use them as proof God doesn't exist, that God did not create all things. They whittle away at things, breaking them down until they believe they can be creators themselves. They go to great lengths to make advancements in science that give them the sense of being able to create things, when in truth all the things they are manipulating- every atom, every neutron, every particle they have anything to do with at all- are all from God. They did not, they COULD NOT have come from nothing! Everyone knows that NOTHING can only produce NOTHING. You can't take absolutely nothing and have something, it's impossible. People talk about big bangs, but don't stop to ask themselves where the bangs came from, assuming they just exist without any question. Their belief in things just scientifically occurring is ludicrous but they refuse to understand that, they refuse to reduce everything to the NOTHING that would have to exist and leave it at nothing. They introduce that first something and as soon as they do that- as soon as they say something has come from nothing then they have to explain where that something came from because it could not come from nothing. No, they never take it back far enough, instead they just make it older and older and older. Trillion, zillions of years old and such. Yet for something to exist it had to be created by someone, by something. God who is from everlasting to everlasting, God who always has been and always will be, God the Creator of ALL things is the something that without question exists first and it is GOD who has created every single thing in existence. From all the things He has provided for us we create things we love to declare we've created, when in truth we only take the things God has provided and we manipulate them. Without God providing those things we would have nothing to manipulate. I could make a wonderful cake, but I couldn't do it without every single ingredient that goes into creating that cake. Those ingredients taken back to their primary state of existence were not created by man. The seed planted in the ground was NOT created by man- even if it's been manipulated by man's tampering.
These are all facts, irrefutable facts.

So yes, when I read of an amazing celestial occurrence I can't help but acknowledge the glory of God IN that occurrence. DNA building blocks found in meteorites is all from God! That news points me towards God, not away from Him. God is the Creator of that meteorite, God is the Creator of that DNA.

Psa 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psa 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psa 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
Psa 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

PRAISE GOD OUR WONDERFUL CREATOR!!! In Him is all life, its beginning and its end!

All GLORY to our God, our King, our Creator now and forever!

Amen.

Hating God

Pro 8:36 …. all they that hate me love death.

Pro 5:11 And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
Pro 5:12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof

Eze 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Hate.

We see so much hate in our world, so much that it's downright sickening to read of it day in and day out. People might not agree, believing that their actions aren't of hate, but those actions speak loudly of hate even if the words don't.

People hating God is nothing new. Throughout the Bible there are people that hate God and truthfully, all those who hate God truly do love death. Without a love for God there is no true life. What we are living now is no where near the life intended for us.

We do so hate instruction though, don't we? We despise reproof and yet it is instruction and reproof which are the very things that reveal our need of God. And our pride often gets in the way of admitting any need we might have. We commit wicked acts, sinfilled acts because of our pride, because of our self love, our self absorption, our need to be masters of our own limited existence. Truly we cannot change so much about us that we often go overboard trying to control and change the things we can. Trying to feel superior we choose paths that don't always lead us to God. When we go astray we are reproved, we're chastised, we're given instruction and we need to listen, to follow, to turn from our evil ways- and all ways that aren't God's are evil, though so many would have people believe otherwise. We live in a world of compromises and it is no wonder at all whatsoever that so few will be truly God's when our Savior returns.

Joh 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
Joh 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
Joh 15:23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Joh 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
Joh 15:25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Hating God without a cause.

Psa 69:4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

What cause do people have for hating those that love them? Does that love make them aware of their own failings and they'd rather lash out against that love than face the realization they are not perfect, they are not all that they wish they could be? You see it all the time- people giving love to others only to be rewarded with hatred. Kindness rewarded with wickedness. People hate God maybe because His existence holds them up to a higher standard which they can never achieve and rather than admit their dependence upon God they want to rebel against Him instead. Admitting that you cannot save yourself, admitting that you did not will yourself into existence- or that mankind did not do that at some point, admitting that we are creatures isn't something people want to do. Becoming a servant is NOT something people automatically aspire to. Finding love in serving is not something typical but rather atypical. Forever the people serving wish to be in a place where they can instead be served, and this is part of the wickedness of selfishness, of self-love.

Yes, people hate God and His Son without cause. God and His Son are of a love we can only hope and pray one day to achieve through their mercy and sacrifice, their righteousness- not ours. As long as we refuse to submit to love, as love as we refuse to admit our dependence, our actions will continue to be of those who are selfish, evil, and wicked- even if we never become wicked and evil in the way mankind today gives those labels. As long as we refuse to submit and continue to despise instruction and being reproved, we are lending our voices to the many of millions who hate God without cause.

By the grace of our Savior may we NOT be found among those who hate God! May we accept instruction and being reproved. May we seek to submit to our Creator, to our Redeemer for it is only in full submission to love- the love that comes from God, the love that IS God that we can love and live eternally- not loving death as those who hate God do.

In His name, in Him always!!!

Amen.

Prophecy - 48

Our last prophecy study left off with the realization of the gradual, insidious merging of pure Christianity with Paganism through the political realm of an emperor. The emperor merged pagan customs with religious, by taking religious events never meant to be made into festivals. In fact the Bible had many, many events take place that were NEVER turned into events for yearly recognition. Most of the events the Bible had pointed towards our Savior. When our Savior came He did not institute a bunch of new events. He did not tell us to create holy days in His name and in those events put a lot of pagan rituals. Yet today that is what we have. We've been given a legacy of pagan rituals draped in a covering of religion and told this is good.

As this perversion of Christianity was underway we spoke before of a rising little horn power- remember? Before that power three other horns would fall and we proved in history how that happened. Now as we have been brought up to this point again we should notice a bit more detail on that situation.

The Roman Empire was falling apart slowly but surely.

Clovis (c. 466–511) (Ch-)Leuthwig (Ludwig, Louis) was the first King of the Franks to unite all the Frankish tribes under one ruler. He was also the first Catholic King to rule over Gaul (France).

The small church in which he was baptized is now named Saint-Remi, and a statue of him being baptized by Saint Remigius can be seen there. Clovis and his wife Clotilde are buried in the St. Genevieve church (St. Pierre) in Paris.

An important part of Clovis' legacy is that he reduced the power of the Romans in 486 by beating the Roman ruler Syagrius in the battle of Soissons.[2]

Clovis was converted to Catholicism, as opposed to the Arian Christianity common among the Goths who ruled most of Gaul at the time, at the instigation of his wife, Clotilde, a Burgundian Gothic princess who was a Catholic in spite of the Arianism which surrounded her at court. He was baptized in a small church which was on or near the site of the Cathedral of Rheims, where most future French kings would be crowned.

This act was of immense importance in the subsequent history of Western and Central Europe in general, for Clovis expanded his dominion over almost all of the old Roman province of Gaul (roughly modern France). He is considered the founder of the Merovingian dynasty which ruled the Franks for the next two centuries.

Pasted from

*

Note how relevant the fact Clovis converted to Catholicism is to history, as opposed to the fighting Christian faction opposed to Catholic beliefs- Arian Christianity.

*

Christian king

Clovis had previously married the Christian Burgundian princess Clotilde (later canonized as St. Clotilde), and, according to Gregory of Tours, as a result of his victory at Tolbiac (traditionally set in 496), he converted to her Catholic faith. Conversion to Trinitarian Christianity set Clovis apart from the other Germanic kings of his time, such as those of the Visigoths and the Vandals, who had converted from pagan beliefs to Arian Christianity. It also ensured him of the support of the Catholic Gallo-Roman aristocracy in his later campaign against the Visigoths, which drove them from southern Gaul (507). According to legend, it was only by invoking the God of his Christian wife, Clotilde, that he defeated his enemy. Clotilde was almost certainly instrumental in Clovis' conversion to Catholic faith.

Clovis was baptised at Rheims on Christmas 496, 498 or 506 by Saint Remigius.[5] The conversion of Clovis to Catholic Christianity, the religion of the majority of his subjects, strengthened the bonds between his Roman subjects, led by their Catholic bishops, and their Germanic conquerors. Nevertheless, Bernard Bachrach has argued that this conversion from his Frankish paganism alienated many of the other Frankish sub-kings and weakened his military position over the next few years. William Daly, in order more directly to assess Clovis's allegedly barbaric and pagan origins,[6] was obliged to ignore the bishop Saint Gregory of Tours and base his account on the scant earlier sources, a sixth-century "vita" of Saint Genevieve and letters to or concerning Clovis from bishops and Theodoric.

In the "interpretatio romana", Gregory of Tours gave the Germanic gods that Clovis abandoned the names of roughly equivalent Roman gods, such as Jupiter and Mercury.[7] Taken literally, such usage would suggest a strong affinity of early Frankish rulers for the prestige of Roman culture, which they may have embraced as allies and federates of the Empire during the previous century.[citation needed]

Though he fought a battle at Dijon in the year 500, Clovis did not successfully subdue the Burgundian kingdom. It appears that he somehow gained the support of the Arvernians in the following years, for they assisted him in his defeat of the Visigothic kingdom of Toulouse in the Battle of Vouillé (507) which eliminated Visigothic power in Gaul and confined the Visigoths to Hispania and Septimania; the battle added most of Aquitaine to Clovis's kingdom.[4] He then established Paris as his capital,[4] and established an abbey dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul on the south bank of the Seine. Later it was renamed Sainte-Geneviève Abbey, in honor of the patron saint of Paris.[8]

According to Gregory of Tours, following the Battle of Vouillé, the Byzantine Emperor Anastasius I, granted Clovis the title of consul. Since Clovis's name does not appear in the consular lists, it is likely he was granted a suffect consulship.

To say ARMS shall stand on his part- the part of the pagan/Christian perverted rulership- would hold true. The Papacy used it's influence to gain arms to fight on its behalf defeating what they considered to be false Christians- the Arians. To be sure the sanctuary of strength was grossly polluted by all the politics, all the paganism that infiltrated into Christianity. There is NO doubt here that this has all happened as predicted, no doubt at all!

As the Papacy was rising up becoming stronger and stronger it replaced MANY truths with falsehoods, keeping just enough truth in them to make them appear to be of God.

Dan 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part,
and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength,
and shall take away the daily sacrifice,
and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

More tomorrow on this because I really need to study more of this myself, much more deeply. By the grace and mercy of our God, all through HIS love, HIS righteousness, because I have no righteousness of my own, none.

Please Lord, help us to understand, help us have open eyes, open hearts.

In His amazing love always!

Amen.

Prophecy - 47- Spiritual Food

God's holy word, God's holy prophecies.

Act 17:11 ... in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Searched the scriptures DAILY.

Luk 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

We live by eating. No one will dispute the fact that without physical sustenance we would die. When someone is in the hospital and they can't eat solid food they are given nutrition in a bag, not just a normal IV filled with liquid, but liquid that has additives that give that liquid nutrients as if the person were actually eating solid food- all the vitamins, minerals, and everything they need without actually eating. When a loved one of mine was in the hospital and hadn't eaten for five days they had to call in a nutritionist to calculate what should be put in his liquid nutrition. It wasn't a matter of simply hanging up yet another bag of fluids with the ones already there. This was a very special bag of liquid food they were making- why? Because the body needs food, it needs to eat, it needs the nutrition we get from food in order for it to stay alive. A person can and many unfortunately do- starve to death without the necessary food. Ideally we are meant to eat daily. And the best of saints along with the worst of sinners must eat food daily. The difference between saint and sinner is the saint knows that they might as well be dead than live without the daily bread that is the WORD of GOD. The daily bread - our daily sustenance does not bring full life- but the WORD of GOD brings full life- life eternal- spiritual life. Yes, we must eat food to live, but just eating food to live will not give us spiritual life. The WORD of GOD will feed our spiritual life. We need spiritual food daily every bit as much as we need physical food, but people don't seem to fully comprehend this.

People are starving spiritually, barely existing on maybe one spiritual meal a week. Others are spiritually dead not even receiving that weekly spiritual feeding. If we wonder why we might not be spiritually strong could it be we are not getting our daily bread? Could it be we are trying to live by bread alone and not by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God?

Hunger pangs tells us we need food. Spiritual hunger pangs hit us ALL the time and we choose to ignore them and in their place substitute other things- thinking that'll take care of the spiritual hunger pangs. We shove alcohol, pills, sex, video games, online games, people, work, play- we shove everything we can into our spirit void wanting to dull the pangs of life with all those things that can never ever fully satisfy the spiritual hunger inside us all.

It's true also that people who eat don't always get the proper nutrition while they're eating still end up dying because they didn't get the proper nutrition. Silly? No. Take scurvy for one example. Up to a million people over the course of many, many years have died from scurvy- lacking vitamin c in their diets- these people were mostly sailors who would exist on dried salted meats and dried grains as they took their sea voyages. So they had food but it wasn't necessarily all the food they needed, the proper food, the correct nutrients.

Spiritually was shove all sorts of food into our spiritual life hoping to feed the spiritual hunger that exists inside us, but all that food being shoved into our spiritual life isn't necessary the spiritual food we truly need to live a Spiritual life in Christ- the source of all things truly spiritually necessary.

Daily we need spiritual food every bit as much as we need tangible food. Means what? Every day.

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Luk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Act 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Daily teaching and preaching Jesus Christ. Daily learning. We must daily learn more and more of our Savior. If we study ANYTHING in God's word and it does NOT point us to our Savior then we are NOT studying as God would have us study. Every prophecy we study is with the realization that the prophecy points towards one ultimate fulfillment- Christ and His return bringing His kingdom with Him.

Some will lose interest in prophecy studying quickly because there is so much history involved, and to many history is boring. People have gone to great lengths to make prophecy lectures and whatnot - exciting. Babes in the word of God need that simple feeding, those enticing bits that piqué interest. Those who are NOT babes in the word need much more than a simple feeding, they need something they can chew. Those who are not babes understand that a tough bit of meat may take a long time to chew, and while the goal is biting, chewing, and ultimately swallowing our food it's not always something that is done in a few seconds. Have you ever had food in your mouth that has made your jaw tired from chewing? I know I have. The word of God can mean studying things that cause our minds to ache, our spiritual teeth to hurt. Sure we can live on spiritual baby food, never, ever studying to the point we are wresting with things to gain understanding. We can believe that all we are required to do is read simple, easy to understand verses about God's love and never, ever try to comprehend the harder things of Scripture- leaving them for greater minds than ours- but that isn't what our God wants from us. God wants us to grow up in our spiritual lives every bit as much as we grow up in our physical lives.

How many, many hours of tedious schooling did you have when you were growing up? And all that tedious schooling, all those hours of homework, all that time spent studying was to prepare you for a future giving you knowledge. We find it heartbreaking when we hear of children being denied the chance at an education. We think about how much knowledge the children are missing out on when they don't attend a school, or get schooling at home. While some are great advocates of something called 'unschooling' allowing children to learn only that which truly interests them, that doesn't mean they are opposed to schooling children- they give those children access and means to LEARN only the focus is on their interests. The children who are taken out of school, or never have an opportunity to go, those who don't even have the opportunity to be school in things of their interest are those we understand innately are being deprived of a chance to grow mentally. People have fought hard to be able to gain the right to be taught, the right to learn rather than stay in a set routine of life- following only down the path of their forefathers. People today pay thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars for higher education- for MORE learning than is deemed required by our various governments. Our secular learning is that important, yet all the secular learning in the world, all the degrees in the world, all the education we can possibly gain means NOTHING in the eternal realm. If we neglect our spiritual education and only focus on our temporal flesh education we might have a great secular, temporary life but lose life eternal. We NEED a spiritual education that NEVER ends. We need a spiritual feeding daily, and the food we eat will vary. Some days our spiritual food will be light and easy to comprehend, to digest. Other days our spiritual food will be tough and not so easy to comprehend, or digest. We cannot shun the food meant for those grown up no longer needing just the milk of babes in Christ, we have to be willing to chew.

To me these prophecy studies are filled with a lot of tough spiritual meat that will make us chew long and hard before we can swallow it. Because the studies are such tough meat it will take perseverance to get through it all, but we can by the grace of God. I'm not looking to make these studies light and fluffy so everyone will want to gobble them up, I'm looking to make these studies filled with TRUTH! Those who desire truth enough to read through all the boring stuff will be rewarded, right? When truth is presented it pushes out the untruth, is shoves aside the doubts that Satan will push at us trying to get us to falter and fail.

Let's read the following and while we are reading it note how prophecy is mentioned--

Act 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
Act 6:9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
Act 6:10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
Act 6:11 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
Act 6:12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,
Act 6:13 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
Act 6:14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
Act 6:15 And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
Act 7:1 Then said the high priest, Are these things so?
Act 7:2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
Act 7:3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.

(PROPHECY) If Abraham were to listen a land would be shown him- a prophetic - conditional happenstance.

Act 7:4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
Act 7:5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

(PROPHECY) a promise that Abraham's seed after him would inherit- and Abraham had no children!

Act 7:6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
Act 7:7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

(PROPHECY) Four hundred years of evil would befall Abraham's seed. A prophecy encompassing four hundred future years!

Act 7:8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.
Act 7:9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
Act 7:10 And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
Act 7:11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
Act 7:12 But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
Act 7:13 And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.
Act 7:14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
Act 7:15 So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
Act 7:16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
Act 7:17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
Act 7:18 Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
Act 7:19 The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.
Act 7:20 In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months:
Act 7:21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.
Act 7:22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
Act 7:23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
Act 7:24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:
Act 7:25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
Act 7:26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
Act 7:27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
Act 7:28 Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
Act 7:29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.
Act 7:30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.
Act 7:31 When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,
Act 7:32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
Act 7:33 Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.
Act 7:34 I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.
Act 7:35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
Act 7:36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
Act 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
Act 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
Act 7:39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
Act 7:40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Act 7:41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
Act 7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
Act 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
Act 7:44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.

(PROPHECY) Fulfilled! What was told to Abraham came to pass.

Act 7:45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
Act 7:46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
Act 7:47 But Solomon built him an house.
Act 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Act 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Act 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Act 7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Act 7:53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

Prophets persecuted, prophets slain, those which showed the coming of the SAVIOR. The Savior betrayed and murdered.

Act 7:54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
Act 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
Act 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
Act 7:57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
Act 7:58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
Act 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
Act 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Prophecy. Stephen recounted the importance of prophecy in his last speech. Did he say- 'Hey everyone, prophecy is important, so read it, study it.' ? No. He didn't use those words but His entire speech revealed prophecy and how it'd been fulfilled and was even then being fulfilled. He pointed out to the very people who were about to murder him that their fathers had done the same thing to other prophets-murdered them. We want truth, all truth, but so many just want fables and fancy.

We are given prophecy- not just to shove it away as being overcooked meat too tough to even bother to chew. We are given prophecy so that we can comprehend the fullness of truth found in our Savior!

Having said all this … let's continue tomorrow with our prophecy studies …for those who want meat to chew keep reading, those who don't, I'm sure there are a lot of blogs out there that suit more of what you desire and by the grace of God may we all find the spiritual eternal life we seek in our Savior, in His righteousness!

In His love!

Amen.

Prophecy -46 Deception!

Yesterday we discussed the rise of Christianity mingled Paganism and we're going to continue with this a bit longer, noting more detailed facts.

We need to understand that the Holy Covenant was truly forsaken by the rise of this so called church of God.

Dan 11:30 '...therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant
so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. '

Have you ever heard of the Eleusinian Mysteries-

'The Eleusinian Mysteries (Greek) were initiation ceremonies held every year for the cult of Demeter and Persephone based at Eleusis in ancient Greece. Of all the mysteries celebrated in ancient times, these were held to be the ones of greatest importance. It is acknowledged that their basis was an old agrarian cult which probably goes back to the Mycenean period (c.1600-1100 BC) and it is believed that the cult of Demeter was established in 1500 BC.[1] The idea of immortality which appears in syncretistic religions of antiquity was introduced in late antiquity.[2] The mysteries represented the myth of the abduction of Persephone from her mother Demeter by the king of the underworld Hades, in a cycle with three phases, the "descent" (loss), the "search" and the "ascent", with main theme the "ascent" of Persephone and the reunion with her mother. It was a major festival during the Hellenic era, and later spread to Rome.[3] The name of the town, Eleusís seems to be Pre-Greek and it is probably a counterpart with Elysion and the goddess Eileithyia[4]

The rites, ceremonies, and beliefs were kept secret and consistently preserved from a hoary antiquity. The initiated believed that they would have a reward in the afterlife.[5] There are many paintings and pieces of pottery that depict various aspects of the Mysteries. Since the Mysteries involved visions and conjuring of an afterlife, some scholars believe that the power and longevity of the Eleusinian Mysteries came from psychedelic agents.[6]'

These pagan mysteries existed for close to 3000 years.

The *supposed* end of them occurs when Christianity rose up.

*

'In 170 AD, the Temple of Demeter was sacked by the Sarmatians but was rebuilt by Marcus Aurelius. Aurelius was then allowed to become the only lay person to ever enter the anaktoron. As Christianity gained in popularity in the 4th and 5th centuries, Eleusis' prestige began to fade. Julian, the last pagan emperor of Rome, was also the last emperor to be initiated into the Eleusinian Mysteries.[28]

The Roman emperor Theodosius I closed the sanctuaries by decree in 392 AD. The last remnants of the Mysteries were wiped out in 396 AD, when Alaric, King of the Goths, invaded accompanied by Christians "in their dark garments", bringing Arian Christianity and desecrating the old sacred sites.[29] The closing of the Eleusinian Mysteries in the 4th century is reported by Eunapius, a historian and biographer of the Greek philosophers. Eunapius had been initiated by the last legitimate Hierophant, who had been commissioned by the emperor Julian to restore the Mysteries, which had by then fallen into decay. According to Eunapius, the very last Hierophant was a usurper, "the man from Thespiae who held the rank of Father in the mysteries of Mithras."'

'Modern Interpretation-

The annual Aquarian Tabernacle Church Spring Mysteries Festival is a 3 day Pan-Pagan festival, recreating the mysteries in modern day. The main focus of the Festival is the Ritual Drama. The ATC (Aquarian Tabernacle Church) presents a modern interpretation of the ancient Greek mystery drama of how the seasons came to be.

The original Eleusinian Mysteries were a mystery kept secret for almost three-thousand years and the basic story, as portrayed, is all that is available. In modern times the ATC is the only group performing these mysteries on a large scale, available for all who have always wished to experience their wonder, are able to.

The ritual takes place every Easter weekend at Fort Flagler State Park in Washington.'

MODERN INTERPRETATION. When does this modern interpretation take place? EASTER weekend. Now we need to ask ourselves some questions- is this mere coincidence? Does Easter have something to do with paganism?

Remember Christianity rose up amid many, many pagan customs that had been around for thousands of years. People did not simply give up their pagan beliefs and accept Christianity. It'd be great if that were the case but even our Savior had this to say, and He meant it!

Mat 7:14 For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few be they that find it.

Few be they that find it! How many? FEW. Only few compared to the multitudes. So many religions tout their numbers as a sign of truth, when the truth is that the greater the number the less truth. Yes, the Gospel was to go to the whole world, but that didn't mean the whole world would accept that Gospel. How can those words come from our Savior's mouth if they weren't true? They couldn't and that means they are pure TRUTH.

Christianity quickly went from being truth and only truth to being truth corrupted by untruth. The lines became blurred, paganism and Christianity merged into something unrecognizable as wholly pagan or wholly Christian. However… Satan used His deceptive power to have the products of paganism Christianized. And as we know if something is changed and enough time passes that it is hard for people to accept that the changed something was ever anything different than it appears currently. People honestly believe that our so called Christian holidays are truly Christian holidays. What they really are is paganism Christianized and as we know once untruth mingles with truth it is NO LONGER TRUTH!

Easter-

'Easter ... is the central feast in the Christian liturgical year.[1] According to the Canonical gospels, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. His resurrection is celebrated on Easter Day or Easter Sunday[2] (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday). The chronology of his death and resurrection is variously interpreted to be between AD 26 and 36.

Easter marks the end of Lent, a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance. The last week of the Lent is called Holy Week, and it contains Good Friday, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus. Easter is followed by a fifty-day period called Eastertide or the Easter Season, ending with Pentecost Sunday.

Easter is linked to the Jewish Passover by much of its symbolism, as well as by its position in the calendar. In many European languages, the words for "Easter" and "Passover" are etymologically related or homonymous.[4] The term "Pascha", from the same root, is also used in English to refer to Easter.

Easter customs vary across the Christian world, but decorating Easter eggs is a common motif. In the Western world, customs such as egg hunting and the Easter Bunny extend from the domain of church, and often have a secular character.'

Did you read that? Decorating eggs is a common motif. A common motif of what? A supposed CHRISTIAN holiday! A CENTRAL feast . Now many, many, many Christians will give you reasons for this egg decorating and how it ties into the celebration, but in truth where did EGGS, let alone decorating them, come into play with Jesus?! Alarm bells should be ringing in the head of anyone who is really seeking TRUTH.

Just how did eggs come to be associated with a supposed Christian holiday?

Read this--

The first Christians, Jewish and Gentile, were certainly aware of the Hebrew calendar (Acts 2:1; 12:3; 20:6; 27:9; 1 Cor 16:8), but there is no direct evidence that they celebrated any specifically Christian annual festivals. Direct evidence for the Easter festival begins to appear in the mid-2nd century. Perhaps the earliest extant primary source referencing Easter is a mid-2nd century Paschal homily attributed to Melito of Sardis, which characterizes the celebration as a well-established one.[23] Evidence for another kind of annual Christian festival, the commemoration of martyrs, begins to appear at about the same time as evidence for the celebration of Easter.[24] But while martyrs' days (usually the individual dates of martyrdom) were celebrated on fixed dates in the local solar calendar, the date of Easter was fixed by means of the local Jewish lunisolar calendar. This is consistent with the celebration of Easter having entered Christianity during its earliest, Jewish period, but does not leave the question free of doubt.[25]
The ecclesiastical historian Socrates Scholasticus (b. 380) attributes the observance of Easter by the church to the perpetuation of its custom, "just as many other customs have been established," stating that neither Jesus nor his Apostles enjoined the keeping of this or any other festival. Although he describes the details of the Easter celebration as deriving from local custom, he insists the feast itself is universally observed.[26]

This is NOT a CHRISTIAN celebration! No where in the Bible are we told to celebrate this way, NO WHERE!

This isn't the only perversion of Christianity, not by a long shot. Go ahead LOOK UP this stuff on the internet! Go to the library! Search out the truth! Read your BIBLES!

While Christian holidays seem to be Christian enough, they are far from it. They carry a cloak of Christianity but underneath that cloak is a vile, scheming, deceiving being who has tricked the majority of Christians into celebrating these days as if they are truly holy, when they are FAR from it!

This is TRUTH!

Beyond a doubt covering evil with a nice fluffy frosting does not make it acceptable. Think about it- how many times are evil people truly evil appearing? Not as often as one would like to hope. Evil people often get away with a lot of their evil by appearing as someone far from evil, the more innocent they appear the more evil they can get away with. This isn't a lie, this is truth. And truth cannot be changed, not by you and not by me, not by anyone!

The deception of the mingling of paganism with Christianity did not stop at holidays, but goes much deeper, into a place that affects people every week of their lives!

Sunday and Sabbath

See also: Sabbath in Christianity.
Christians from very early times have had differences of opinion on the question of whether Sabbath should be observed on a Saturday or a Sunday. The issue does not arise for Jews, for whom "Shabbat" is unquestionably on Saturday, nor for Muslims whose day of assembly (jumu'ah) is on a Friday.

The first given evidence for a differentiation, between traditional Jewish "Shabbat" observance and the religious observance of the first day of the week, appears in Acts 20:7 where the disciples met and "broke bread" together. Some believe this was a participation in the ordinance of the sacrament. (In previous verses, the Days of Unleavened Bread had just ended, including Passover, so it could not have been the anniversary commemoration, but it could have been a communion service done in remembrance.) Seventh-day Sabbatarians say that the believers met on all days of the week to "break bread" together for the sake of meals and fellowship, such as in Acts 2:46, regarding the incident in Acts 20:7 as nothing outside of usual practice.

Col. 2:16 suggests that early Christians had been judged by others in their traditions of eating foods and in observance of particulars of Sabbath and festivals. Also, the Jews had defined "forty minus one" works to be abstained from on "Shabbat," and Jesus and his disciples had been accused of breaking some of these customs during his ministry.

The Apostle John also refers to the "Lord's Day" ("kuriake hemera") in Rev. 1:10. "Kuriake," meaning "Lord's," later became the Greek word for Sunday. However, in light of the texts Mark 2:28 and Luke 6:5 it is seen that Jesus himself (as the Son of Man) claimed to be the Lord of the Sabbath, and that day fell on the seventh day. Some early Christians observed Sabbath on Saturday, while others gathered for worship on Sunday. However, in AD 363 a seventh-day Sabbath was prohibited by Canon 29 of the Council of Laodicea.[7]

The ancient Romans traditionally used the eight-day nundinal cycle, a market week, but in the time of Augustus, the seven-day week also came into use. The two weeks were used side-by-side until at least the Calendar of 354 and probably later,[8] despite the official adoption of Sunday as a day of rest by Constantine in AD 321.[9] Mithraism kept Sunday holy in honor of Mithras.[10] On 7 March 321, Constantine I, Rome's first Christian Emperor (see Constantine I and Christianity), decreed that Sunday would be observed as the Roman day of rest:

On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.[11]

Many Christians today consider Sunday a holy day and a day of rest and church-attendance. Denominations which observe Saturday as Sabbath are called "Sabbatarians", but the name "Sabbatarian" has also been claimed by Christians, especially Protestants, who believe Sunday must be observed with just the sort of rigorous abstinence from work associated with "Shabbat". For most Christians the custom and obligation of Sunday rest is not as strict. A minority of Christians do not regard the day they attend church as important, so long as they attend, as the apostles and disciples gathered on Sundays, on Saturdays, and whenever they could. There is considerable variation in the observance of Sabbath rituals and restrictions, but some cessation of normal weekday activities is customary.

In Orthodox Christian families and communities, working and requiring somebody else to work are prohibited, including buying goods or services, use of public transport, gardening or driving or washing a car.[verification needed] Allowed exceptions include religious services, electricity, and urgent medical matters. In Roman Catholicism, those who work in the medical field, those in law enforcement, and soldiers in a war zone are dispensed from the usual obligation to avoid work on Sunday.

The majority of Christians observe Sunday as the Lord's day. However, throughout the history of Christianity, some groups have continued or revived the observance of a Saturday Sabbath. More recently, Christians in the Seventh-day Adventist, Seventh Day Baptist, and Church of God (Seventh-Day) denominations, as well as many Messianic Jews have revived the practice of abstaining from work and gathering for worship on Saturdays.

Many languages lack separate words for "Saturday" and "Sabbath." Eastern Orthodox churches, as well as many Roman Catholics, distinguish between Sabbath (Saturday) and Sunday, which some Christians traditionally call the Lord's Day (Rev. 1:10). However, many Protestants and Roman Catholics do refer to Sunday as Sabbath, though this is by no means a universal practice among Protestants and Catholics. Quakers traditionally refer to Sunday as "First Day" eschewing the pagan origin of the English name, while referring to Saturday as the "Seventh day".
In Roman Catholic liturgy, Sunday begins on Saturday evening. The evening Mass on Saturday is liturgically a full Sunday Mass and fulfills the obligation of Sunday Mass attendance, and Vespers (evening prayer) on Saturday night is liturgically "first Vespers" of the Sunday. The same evening anticipation applies to other major solemnities and feasts, and is an echo of the Jewish practice of starting the new day at sunset ("Shabbat" starts on Friday night).

In the Eastern Orthodox Church, Sunday begins at the Little Entrance of Vespers (or All-Night Vigil) on Saturday evening and runs until "Vouchsafe, O Lord" (after the "prokeimenon") of Vespers on Sunday night. During this time, the dismissal at all services begin with the words, "May Christ our True God, who rose from the dead ...." Anyone who wishes to receive Holy Communion at Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning is required to attend Vespers the night before (see Eucharistic discipline). Among Orthodox Christians, Sunday is considered to be a "Little Pascha" (Easter), and because of the Paschal joy, the making of prostrations is forbidden, except in certain circumstances. The Russian word for Sunday is "Voskresenie," meaning "Resurrection day." The Greek word for Sunday is "Kyriake" (the "Lord's Day").

The Czech, Polish, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Ukrainian and Belarusian words for Sunday ("neděle," "niedziela," "nedelja," "недеља", "неділя" and "нядзеля" respectively) can be translated as "without acts (no work)."

Clearly the seventh day of the week has been established throughout history to be Saturday, not Sunday and now read this….

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it: because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

God NEVER changed a single one of HIS commandments!!! Never! Yet man dared to do so!

Constantine! The Roman Emperor as Rome's pagan power was shifting into a papal power, as paganism was mingled with Christianity - just as it was all predicted- this man did this--

On 7 March 321, Constantine I, Rome's first Christian Emperor (see Constantine I and Christianity), decreed that Sunday would be observed as the Roman day of rest:

On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.[11]

And read this--

“Most Christians assume that Sunday is the biblically approved day of worship. The Catholic Church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority. If Protestantism wants to base its teachings only on the Bible, it should worship on Saturday.” — Rome’s Challenge immaculateheart.com/maryonline Dec 2003.

“Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.” — James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 edition), p. 72-73 (16th Edition, p 111; 88th Edition, p. 89).

“For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the [Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible.” — Catholic Virginian, October 3, 1947, p. 9, article “To Tell You the Truth.”

“Written by the finger of God on two tables of stone, this Divine code (ten commandments) was received from the Almighty by Moses amid the thunders of Mount Sinai...Christ resumed these Commandments in the double precept of charity--love of God and of the neighbour; He proclaimed them as binding under the New Law in Matthew 19 and in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5)...The (Catholic) Church, on the other hand, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath, or seventh day of the week, to the first, made the Third Commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord’s Day...He (God) claims one day out of the seven as a memorial to Himself, and this must be kept holy...” — The Catholic Encyclopaedia, vol. 4, “The Ten Commandments”, 1908 edition by Robert Appleton Company; and 1999 Online edition by Kevin Knight, Imprimatur, John M. Farley, Archbishop of New York.

“Question: How prove you that the church had power to command feasts and holydays?
“Answer: By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of and therefore they fondly contradict themselves by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same church.
“Question: Have you any other way of proving that the church has power to institute festivals of precept?
“Answer: Had she not such power, she could not a done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; -she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day of the week, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.” — Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism On the Obedience Due to the Church, 3rd edition, Chapter 2, p. 174 (Imprimatur, John Cardinal McCloskey, Archbishop of New York).

“Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. ‘The day of the Lord’ was chosen, not from any direction noted in the Scriptures, but from the (Catholic) Church’s sense of its own power...People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.” — St. Catherine Church Sentinel, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995.

“Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday to Sunday...Now the Church...instituted, by God’s authority, Sunday as the day of worship. This same Church, by the same divine authority, taught the doctrine of Purgatory long before the Bible was made. We have, therefore, the same authority for Purgatory as we have for Sunday.” — Martin J. Scott, Things Catholics Are Asked About, 1927 edition, p. 136.

“Question - Which is the Sabbath day?
“Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.
“Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
“Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 364), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.” — Rev. Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R., The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd edition, 1957.
“Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments? I answer yes. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the Church change the seventh day - Saturday - for Sunday, the first day? I answer yes. Did Christ change the day’? I answer no!”
“Faithfully yours, J. Card. Gibbons.” — James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore, Md. (1877-1921), in a signed letter.

“Question. - How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days?
“Answer. - By the very act of changing Sabbath into Sunday which Protestants allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church.
“Question. - How prove you that?
“Answer. - Because by keeping Sunday, they acknowledge the Church’s power to ordain feasts, and to command them under sin: and by not keeping the rest by her commanded, they again deny, in fact, the same power.” — An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine, composed by Henry Tuberville, p. 58.

Outlawing the keeping of the sabbath and encouraging rest on Sunday (the Lord's Day) (canon 29)

Pasted from

Canon 29 Council of Laodicea (A.D. 364)

Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ.

In 321 AD the pagan emperor turned Christian - who really mingled paganism with Christianity- made Sunday the Christian day of rest contrary to the Bible.
In 364 AD the Catholic Church outlawed keeping the Biblical Sabbath.

These are facts people!

Now you'll get all kinds telling you how the Sabbath was done away with. They'll have seemingly convincing articles as they pervert the Biblical verses to suit their purposes. They'll even say that Jesus reaffirmed all the Ten Commandments but the Sabbath, making the Sabbath void. Making the keeping of the day of rest INSTITUTED during CREATION week null and void. They'd have you believe that one of those TEN COMMANDMENTS was no longer in effect, that it no longer mattered, that it was changed, that it was just for the Jews. Satan would have men deceived and He'd done an amazing job of it! Amazing deception and we were told this would be so. God would NEVER have made the Sabbath one of the Ten Commandments if it were merely meant to be ceremonial and done away with, never! The Ten Commandments were set in the Ark of the Covenant, under the Mercy Seat of God! These were never to be altered to suit man's perverted desires. And if anyone thinks that the perversion didn't start right away, they're wrong. Deception was already in the church in the Apostles' day! So when people say oh, the first day was kept on the first day of the week, Sunday way back in 150AD, they say it like that is proof when it proves NOTHING but that deception had begun to filter in which we'd already been told would happen.

Recently I read an article detailing in small blurbs the major changes in our history at 20 year increments over the last 100 years I think it was 100 years, anyway they did it and it showed how quickly things change and it was astounding to read- it really put a new perspective on things. So much can change in a mere 20 years and here we have over a 100 years between Christ living upon earth before His death and a time when a writer in 150AD seems to write something that makes it look as if the Sabbath is no longer kept!

There is NO doubt about man's corruption, none whatsoever!

Prophecy shows us that the Holy Covenant would be forsaken and the Roman Power of the time would being in league with those who forsake the Holy Covenant. This isn't a fairy tale, this isn't fiction, no fable here, but TRUTH!

May God open our hearts and eyes to ALL His truth! May we NEVER believe in man's lies over GOD'S TRUTH!

Please God bless us with all your truth, create clean hearts within us Lord, open our eyes, open our understanding! This is our prayer Lord, Your truth and NOTHING but Your TRUTH!

In Your amazing love, in Your forgiveness, may Your kingdom come Lord just as You've given us the prophecy of it occurring!

Amen!
