He never complained as He was led to be slaughtered

Luk_24:27  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luk_24:32  And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Luk_24:45  Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures

*

Gen 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

In the beginning there was the PROMISE of salvation!

There would be salvation from satan's rule.

Gen 49:10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

TRUTH.

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

TRUTH.

Isa 53:1  Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isa 53:2  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Isa 53:3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isa 53:7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Isa 53:8  He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Isa 53:9  And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isa 53:10  Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11  He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Isa 53:12  Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors

Our Savior opened the eyes of those who sought truth. Our Savior opened their understanding so they would see the truth in His life, death, and resurrection.

We need OUR understanding opened.

OUR transgressions!

HIS stripes!

WE'VE gone astray!

OUR iniquity was laid upon HIM.

He never complained as He was led to be slaughtered.

This is what He told those who listened after His resurrection- He wanted them to KNOW His life was predicted! He wanted them to know that He was the Messiah, THEIR SAVIOR. He WAS and IS TRUTH!
Truth from old prophecies written LONG before He was born, LONG before He took on flesh.  Our Savior did NOT do away with the Old Testament, He REVEALED the truth within!  We cannot trash the Old Testament believing all we need is the New.  We have to comprehend the truth from the very BEGINNING to the very END.

All by the grace and mercy, the LOVE of our SAVIOR, Jesus Christ! Now and forever, amen!

Did they know the prophecy?

Mat 26:54  But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
Mat 26:55  In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
Mat 26:56  But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled

Psa 22:1  To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
Psa 22:2  O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
Psa 22:3  But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Psa 22:4  Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
Psa 22:5  They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

Psa 22:6  But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

Psa 22:7  All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
Psa 22:8  He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

Psa 22:9  But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
Psa 22:10  I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
Psa 22:11  Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

Psa 22:12  Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
Psa 22:13  They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
Psa 22:14  I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
Psa 22:15  My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Psa 22:16  For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Psa 22:17  I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

Psa 22:18  They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Psa 22:19  But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
Psa 22:20  Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
Psa 22:21  Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
Psa 22:22  I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
Psa 22:23  Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
Psa 22:24  For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
Psa 22:25  My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
Psa 22:26  The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Psa 22:27  All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
Psa 22:28  For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.
Psa 22:29  All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
Psa 22:30  A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
Psa 22:31  They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Ask yourself this question- When the Roman soldiers parted Jesus' garment and cast lots upon them- did they KNOW the prophecy?

No.

They were ROMANS, not JEWS. They were soldiers following orders to crucify a man who fancied himself to be the king of the Jews. They had no clue they were fulfilling a prophecy. Their actions were being recorded. Those that witnessed the crucifixion recorded what transpired.

Joh 19:23  Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
Joh 19:24  They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

There is NO way the Roman soldiers would have fulfilled the prophecy knowingly. The Romans wanted this whole Jesus debacle done and over with and they thought killing Him would do the trick. They did NOT want to deepen the proof of His Lordship, of His Holiness.

Prophecy.   Future history predicted long before it takes place.

The Bible is FILLED with prophecy.  PROOF beyond doubt of a loving God who would not have us ignorant of His designs.  We are alone to blame if we do NOT know HIM and He know us! He's given us His truth, His Way… Life now and everlasting.

All by the grace of our Savior may we KNOW truth! May we comprehend the LIGHT given to us!

Please, Father!

In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen!

Jesus said we err not knowing the Old Testament

Mat_21:42  Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Psa 118:22  The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
Psa 118:23  This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

TRUTH.

Mat_22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

TRUTH

These are the SCRIPTURES that Jesus used to reveal His life as the Son of God, the Messiah, the Savior!

This is the OLD TESTAMENT prophecy of our SAVIOR.

This is the prophet Isaiah making the prophecy of our SAVIOR that CAME to pass.

We NEED to know this, why? Because while the OLD TESTAMENT is beyond reproach as an established writing by numerous men throughout a long period of time, the NEW TESTAMENT doesn't have that history. The NEW points to the OLD. The OLD verifies the NEW. Without the OLD there would not be a NEW.

We need to know the WHOLE truth, not pick parts of it we like and forget about the rest.

Mat_22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

We need to KNOW the SCRIPTURES.
We need to KNOW the POWER of GOD.

Too many are blinded by their own desire to remain in the dark. Too many don't want the truth, they want soothing words, easy words, words easy to hear and believe because they don't agitate them. We don't like being bothered. We don't like being pulled from our own desires no matter what those desires are- good things, bad things it doesn’t matter if they are self-serving before God and Others.

Please LORD help us to be YOURS because left to our own devices we are lost!

Please, bless us! Please!

By the grace and mercy of our Savior, more on this tomorrow!

All in HIS LOVE!

Jesus said- We err not knowing the Old Testament

Saturday, July 18, 2015

Jesus said to search the Old Testament (the only Scriptures available to Him)

Our Savior used the OLD TESTAMENT- the SCRIPTURES - to reveal TRUTH.

We are TOLD by our Savior to search the SCRIPTURES.

Those who search the SCRIPTURES DAILY were commended.

Too often people believe once they've attained an understanding that they no longer need to search for more understanding, they know enough and that's that. Who among us knows the SCRIPTURES in such a way we could sit down and reveal Christ to others with just the OLD TESTAMENT in our hands?

We've become complacent in our studying. We hold up the NEW TESTAMENT, and some ONLY use the NEW TESTAMENT, and believe that the OLD TESTAMENT is just filled with old truths no longer relevant to being a Christ follower.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

Maybe we don't need convincing that Christ is God's Son because He's been proven as such for thousands of years. What we do need is the entire truth.  There are TWO WITNESSES of our Savior and both are needed- the OLD and the NEW TESTAMENTS.

We have an abundance of knowledge within our grasps and for the most part it languishes untouched, not studied, not loved.

The truth is, there is SO much in God's entire word for us to study and learn from we could go our entire lives reading the WORD every single day and still be blessed with truth and understanding that will only deepen our relationship with our Savior.  We need to know Christ and HE needs to know us.  He'll know us when we have a very real connection with Him and we can grow in grace and KNOWLEDGE of the LORD through HIS WORD.

Mat_21:42  Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Mat_22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Joh_5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Act_17:2  And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures

Act_17:11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Act_18:24  And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

Act_18:28  For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

Rom_1:2  (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Rom_15:4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Rom_16:26  But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith

1Co_15:3  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co_15:4  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

2Ti_3:15  And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Can we reason out of the scriptures?

Christ died for our sins according to the OLD TESTAMENT.
The OLD TESTAMENT will make us wise unto salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS.

So while we are very quick to grab up our Bibles and turn to the New Testament to reveal our Savior, we must remember ALL the early Christ followers had to reveal Christ was the Old Testament.

More tomorrow on this, all by the will and grace of God!

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, now and forever!

Amen!

Recovered Out of Satan's Snares

Recovered out of the snare of the devil.

Don't believe the devil can snare anyone? Expecting some evil monster to capture you and shove you in a cage hovering over a fire pit- is that your idea of a devil snare? The devil isn't a fictitious creature depicted in horror shows. The devil snare is the sweet person, the kind person, the loving person who leads you into his lies. The devil snare is the amazing feeling you get listening to lies you believe to be truth.  The devil snare is a wolf in sheep clothing. That sheep clothing completely and utterly fools you to death.  The devil is disguised hiding in so many churches, in so many groups that claim to be Christ followers. The snare is following unquestioningly, the snare is believing because it feels good to believe. The snare is refusing any truth revealed because it would rip you from your cocoon of self-serving disguised in serving others. Rejecting truth while following traditions of mankind, very old traditions that have been ingrained deeply into the fabric of our society, these are snares.  Traditions that have become evil now called good.  Devil snares.  The devil snares have been around since Eden, and we're self-deceiving, blind people if we choose not to believe in the devil, let alone his snares.

2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Recover themselves out of the snare of the devil.

RECOVERY!

Repentance- acknowledging the truth.

RECOVERY!

Act 26:18  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Turn from the power of Satan unto God!
Receive forgiveness of sins!
RECOVERY!

2Co 2:11  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Let's NOT be ignorant of his devices! Let's comprehend how he works not only in the blatant evil, but in the blatant counterfeit evil that appears good! Satan HAS devices! Acknowledge this, know this, accept this and be NOT ignorant of his devices!

Col 1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son

DELIVERED- RECOVERED- from the power of darkness! A very real, very dark- DARKNESS!

2Th 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

DEVIL SNARES- ALL DECEIVABLENESS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS- NOT RECEIVING THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH!

Strong delusions-believing lies-damned all because they believe NOT THE TRUTH, all because they had pleasure in UNRIGHTEOUSNESS!

1Ti 3:7  Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

THE SNARE OF THE DEVIL!  A snare! A trap! A plan well laid perfectly set to go off and entrap us if we do NOT LOVE THE TRUTH!

1Ti 6:9  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Ti 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

EXCESS MONEY is a SNARE! Many are entrapped in this particular snare not because they are rich but because they covet being rich! It's not the possessing of the riches alone that can trip us up and snare us, and this is one of the devil's best laid traps. Not being content with what we have, not being content with the basics.  Not being content with eternal riches, but forever seeking after the world's riches.

Rev 12:9  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Cast out from heaven.  THIS IS TRUTH. The devil is REAL! The devil's angels are REAL! This is truth!

Being snared by the devil is REAL.
Recovering from being devil snared is REAL!

REPENT! SEEK TRUTH!

We can be RECOVERED from the devil snares.  We can repent, we can seek truth!  Our Savior CAN save us but HE cannot save us if we don't choose saving.  We are allowed to remain snared, spiritually blinded and delusional if we so choose. If we would rather believe lies, we will be allowed to believe lies- this is TRUTH!

May God HELP us RECOVER! All by HIS GRACE AND LOVE all through JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR NOW AND FOREVER!

AMEN!

Guided by God

We are guided by God.

Isa 30:21  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Isa 35:8  And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Isa 35:9  No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there

Isa 42:16  And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

Isa 48:17  Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Psa 25:8  Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
Psa 25:9  The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Psa 143:8  Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Psa 143:9  Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
Psa 143:10  Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Jer 6:16  Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

1Jn 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Psa 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Pro 4:27  Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

*******
We need God to direct our paths.

We need to have FAITH that God will direct our paths when we acknowledge Him. In acknowledging God we recognize His will over our own. We desire His will over our own. We know that we may make wrong decisions and look towards the wrong paths, but God will guide us and in our errors He will correct us.

We are in need of constant correction, constant direction.  If we ever get to a place where we don't believe we need God in all we do then we are LOST.  The places we go where we cannot invite God to guide us are places we should NOT be.

We need to trust, not to understand everything, but to trust in God that everything has its purpose, a purpose we don't always comprehend.

The Spirit that brings our Savior to us, the Spirit that unites with our spirit, this same Spirit will teach us all we need to know.

We can be taught of men, but a lot of time we are taught men's traditions, not the truth. We are taught fabrications by mankind, made up stories to further mankind's selfish desires.  And when we believe stories, men's traditions and discard the truth then we are not being led by God's Spirit, we are being led by Satan and evil spirits.

We need TRUTH not lies to soothe our selfish consciences.

But to give up cherished lies, beloved lies, isn't easy because they are dear to us, they are a part of us - our past, our present, and what we always thought would be the future.

God's truth, or man's? They are NOT the same, even if we are led to believe they are by wolves in sheep clothing.

Please, Father, please teach us Your truths and allow us to believe ONLY Your truths.  Please.

By the grace, and LOVE of our LORD and SAVIOR, Jesus Christ now and forever!

Amen.

Spirit to Spirit

The mind of Christ-  a SPIRITUAL mind.  This is the mind we all must possess.  If we don't have a spiritual mind then the things of God will appear to be nothing more than foolishness to us.

How many of you know someone who doesn't believe in God, or any of the things of God? How many know of someone who truly considers the things of God foolish?
How many of you know someone who consider you a fool for believing in the things of God?

Those people think God and the things of God foolish and they CANNOT know the things of God because they are spiritual and it is this part of themselves they consider foolish.

1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

The spirit of the world is NOT the spirit of God. The spirit of  God is given to us freely.
There is the wisdom of men and the wisdom of God and the Holy Spirit will teach us the things of God.  Spiritual with spiritual.

Do we have the Spirit, do we have the mind of Christ?

By His grace and mercy we will.  We need the things of God, we need to be able to discern them. Please Lord, please bless us with You, with Your love, with Your spirit, by the Holy Spirit. Please.

In Your LOVE always!
