Peace.
What a wondrous
thing peace is. It is talked about so much in the Bible. There are 429 verses in the Bible with the
word peace in them according to my Bible word search program- E-Sword.
God's peace can rule
in our hearts- GOD'S peace.
The peace of God
passes all understanding.
Trust garners
perfect peace.
Christ preached
peace.
Peace is healing.
The opposite of
peace is- war, uproar, disagreement, hate, hatred, discord, agitation,
disharmony, distress, fighting, frustration, upset, worry - all these are the opposite of peace.
Is it any wonder we need the peace of God in our hearts? We live in a world that promotes all that is the opposite of peace. People are encouraging these things under the guise of wanting a better world- as if inciting hatred, discord, agitation, disharmony, disagreements, distress, fighting, uproars, frustration, upset and worry will make the world somehow change for the better. Some will even say they are fighting for peace- how contrary is that belief. I will fight for peace. Yet peace is not fighting. What does it mean, you will fight for a future peace? Fight for the right to have peace in life? Fight now and embrace peace later? We can spin it many different ways and even cite precedents but it doesn’t negate the conundrum of fighting for peace. Yes, I understand what is intended, but where is the logic?
