By the Grace of God, don't choose sin over suffering

Job_36:21  Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

Do we choose to sin rather than suffer the afflictions not sinning might ask of us?

We shouldn't choose iniquity, ever. Yet, we do choose to sin because we hate to suffer in any way, even small ways. We hate to be deprived of anything, the least bit of comfort taken from us is something we've grown to despise. We have this notion that we deserve comfort, we deserve our relaxation, we deserve our few indulgences to make up for our hard work, our hard lives. We get that notion in our heads and very little can get it out of there. In fact if we aren't allowed our comforts we tend to moan and groan about it. We have learned to absolutely despise deprivation. We have learned to despise any sort of call to suffer anything. Suffering we've been told is absolutely wrong. We cry out that God has forsaken us when affliction comes our way and touches our lives.  We turn to sinful ways, ways that have us NOT loving God and NOT loving our follow man, ways that are far from good.

Take heed-

Regard NOT iniquity-

For THIS we choose RATHER than affliction.

Sin or suffering.  People don't want to believe that this is sometimes the choice we have to make. To sin or to suffer.

People choose to sin hoping that God will understand that shouldn't have to suffer.

People will say quite boldly in fact that God doesn't want us to suffer, yet it isn't about what God wants as if He could EVER like suffering.  He allowed His ONLY Son to suffer, did He like it, did He WANT His ONLY SON to suffer? NO, a RESOUNDING NO! What is necessary however is suffering because sin brings suffering- Satan brings suffering because he stands for everything that God does not! There was NO suffering until Satan decided rather than live under the love of His Creator that he wanted to like the Creator himself- him a creature wanting to be the Creator- total lunacy.  Satan brought the suffering into  the world and ever since has been blaming God for the suffering.  Satan has taught people well to do the same- blame God for the suffering and then turn around and sin saying God doesn't want them to suffer- He'd rather they sin instead. Lies.

God hates suffering, but if the alternative is sinning God hates sinning more because sinning is the cause of the suffering, sinning brought suffering.

People who are innocent suffer all the time- little children, babies- and that suffering wasn't through sin of their own but sin initiated all suffering it is the seed from where ALL suffering comes from.

Remember this--

Joh 9:1  And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
Joh 9:2  And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Joh 9:3  Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Who sinned to cause the suffering?  Jesus answered and said NEITHER. The suffering came into being without any specific sinner being involved, and this man's particular suffering with blindness from birth allow Jesus to work a miracle upon Him- how amazing is that?

No, that isn't the reason for a lot of the innocent suffering, but there is a reason beyond our own comprehension and it is our calling to have faith in God's will no matter what it is, no matter if we understand it or like it in the least.

We know it is God's will that we SIN NOT.

So when we choose SIN over suffering, when we choose SIN over afflictions and then try to make a deal with God on it, we are just making things a lot worse.

God doesn't want us to suffer, God allows us to suffer and if we LOVE HIM and through that love have FAITH in Him any suffering we endure will somehow work out for our good- even if that good is to have the ultimate prize- eternal life with JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR. This is the BEST gift, the BEST result of all we go through- good, bad, awful, horrible, the worst there is-  this is the goal and we cannot lose it as long as we put our GOD first. Our God would have us LOVE HIM and LOVE OTHERS not love ourselves more than Him or Others.  We've got it all twisted because we LOVE ourselves more than others and that is what Satan wants from us, to think of ourselves before all else.

By the GRACE of GOD may we LOVE HIM FIRST and FOREMOST and out of that love understand that sin is unacceptable even if it means we are called to suffer to keep from sinning.  ALL through HIM!

In HIS LOVE!

Please God, bless us, keep us, save us!
