All have
sinned. I read something the other day
that jumped out at me. Basically it was saying that we are all sinners because
we were all in the loins of Adam.
Read this--
Heb 7:4 Now
consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the
tenth of the spoils.
Heb 7:5 And
verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the
priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the
law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of
Abraham:
Heb 7:6 But he
whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed
him that had the promises.
Heb 7:7 And
without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
Heb 7:8 And
here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is
witnessed that he liveth.
Heb 7:9 And as
I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
Heb 7:10 For
he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
Levi paid tithes in
Abraham- remember Levi is the son of
Jacob, Jacob was the son of Isaac and Isaac was the son of Abraham, yet Levi
PAID tithes in Abraham. Levi was in the loins of his father when Melchisedec
met him. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Levi… yet Levi was in the loins of his father
when Abraham his great grandfather met Melchisedec. This was all because
Abraham's loins held the seed that would bring forth Levi far in the future.
So, if this is in
fact true, it can be true that we all inherit sin through Adam-because we were
in his loins, we are his descendants.
All have sinned. All
are under sin. All- heathen and the physical seed of Abraham which became the
Jewish people, all have sinned. And ALL are offered eternal life in Jesus
Christ, through faith.
No one person is
better than another, none are righteous, not one.
Gal 3:22 But the
scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus
Christ might be given to them that believe.
Gal 3:8 And
the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith,
preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be
blessed.
Rom 3:9 What
then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both
Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
Rom 3:10 As it
is written, There is none righteous, no, not one
Rom 3:21 But
now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by
the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even
the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon
all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
The righteousness of
God WITHOUT the law is manifest- the law of the prophets witnessed this
righteousness to come, and it's from GOD by FAITH in Jesus Christ.
More tomorrow on all
this- by the will and grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, now and forever!!!!!!!
