Take Heed to Prophecy!

 2Pe 1:16  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 

Do you believe that Peter was an eyewitness of Christ's majesty?

2Pe 1:17  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 
2Pe 1:18  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 

Do you believe Peter was with Jesus in the holy mount?

I you believe those things you have to believe what he speaks next!

2Pe 1:19  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 

If you believe Peter truly existed, and that Christ truly existed, then when Peter says... 'We have also a more sure word of prophecy whereunto ye do well that ye take heed..." what do you think he means? We are to take heed to PROPHECY.

2Pe 1:21  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 

Man did not create the prophecies, the Holy Spirit did, moving within the holy men of God.

What do you know about this prophecy in Daniel 8:14 'And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.'

You can comprehend that if you are willing to study and pray to understand. I'll tell you this... the 2300 day were finished in the year 1844 and since that time the sanctuary is in the process of being cleansed. The heavenly sanctuary where Christ, with our sins upon Him, has gone on our behalf as our High Priest to fulfil the work of the High Priest and cleanse the heavenly sanctuary. Let me also tell you this... once the heavenly sanctuary is cleansed and the work of a High Priest is over for our Savior, He will put on his crown and as triumphant king, He will come for His people! The trumpet shall sound and the dead in Christ will rise from their graves and the living will be taken up and their bodies change to immortality and we will meet our LORD in the air! We will never be separated from our Savior again!

Prophecy is something we need to take heed to, please, may God help us all only seek His truth in all things!
