1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
The children of God are manifest-
The children of God are - made visible, made known, made actual, realized, recognized.
The children of the devil are also manifest.
We are manifested by the choices we make.
We choose to remain sinners, and we also choose to be born again- born of God.
Jesus said these words--
Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
MUST be BORN AGAIN.
We must be born again and born again of God.
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Born of the SPIRIT.
Those who are born of the Spirit claim their Savior as their righteousness, seeking to give themselves wholly to Him, begging forgiveness, knowing their unworthiness, recognizing their full dependence upon Jesus Christ. We are born of flesh, and given an opportunity to be born of the Spirit.
If we are born of the Spirit we will not seek to willfully sin. We will recognize our sins and seek to repent of them and ask for forgiveness -- NOT seek to keep living in sin. Those who are embroiled in sin wanting to remain in it will do so and they are of their father the devil.
Sin is forever tempting us, forever until our Savior returns for us. We have to surrender ourselves to HIM, to our GOD. We have to keep ourselves IN HIM, having FAITH in HIS ability to save us, to forgive us, to love us.
When we are IN our Savior we cannot sin.
When we are HIS, covered by HIM we cannot sin.
Outside of Him we are lost sinners.
It is ONLY when our SAVIOR is ours that we are sinless, we are NEVER sinless on our own, never!
We must abide in Christ.
We must live in Christ.
We must love our fellow man, we must love as our Savior loves, love through Him, love because He loves, loves because His Spirit in us lives.
All in HIM! Always!
