So let us walk...

1Co 7:17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk

1Co 7:7  For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Rom 12:4  For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
Rom 12:5  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Rom 12:6  Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Rom 12:7  Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Rom 12:8  Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

All of us have gifts from God, from the greatest to the least. What man may perceive and being the greatest gift, isn't necessarily what God perceives to be the greatest. Jesus said this--

Mat 23:11  But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mat 23:12  And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Jesus talked of people here- people who want to be in the position of being great thinking they are above others. Truthfully it is those who serve, those who aren't striving for greatness who are Christ's. We shouldn't strive to have the greatest gifts, but strive to be as God would have us be in the capacity He has supplied for us.

1Co 7:17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk

We cannot look at any other and believe we should be like they are, do the things they do, live as they live. We cannot judge others according to their walk with the Lord.  We are called to be the LORD's and EVERY MAN is distributed certain ways of walking with the LORD. We are not all given the same walk, we are given our individual walks. God does not want us walking another's walk. God wants us to accept what He has given to us. If you're called to be a pastor, a teacher, a prophet, or a loving mother, a caring father, a good tent maker, a wonderful laborer, whatever your walk- walk in the LORD, loving the LORD. May God help us all walk as He has called us to walk.

All through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior now and forever!
