3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of

The
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, this is what is life. Life in the beginning,
life now, and life everlasting.
1Jn_5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding,
that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his
Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the
truth is not in him.
