Abba, Father, Adopted

Rom 8:15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Adopted.

Who needs to be adopted? Orphans. In fact unless you are an orphan you cannot be adopted, not really. Sometimes we talk about being adopted by others when in truth we have a family but others treat us like family, right? Being adopted is being taken in by someone other than your birth parents for whatever reason.

Adoption is usually a choice. I'm not sure anyone can force adoption- outside of personal pressure. I've never heard of anyone being forced to adopt a child. Adoption is a choice.

The Spirit of adoption by God, solidifies Him as our Heavenly Father.

The Jewish people loved to lay claim to Abraham being their Father and through Him, they have a special relationship with God. Jesus,  God's Son, the Messiah came and they rejected Him. Jesus then revealed that those who are not God's chosen are still capable of being His. Grafted into the Tree.

Rom_11:24  For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

The unclean become clean in God, through Jesus Christ.

Act_10:28  And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

Adopted by God, receiving the SPIRIT of ADOPTION, this is truth! Oh to receive the SPIRIT of adoption! The Holy Spirit alone can give to us what we need in Jesus Christ our Lord. Our Savior had the Holy Spirit- Joh 3:34  For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

God gave the Savior, Jesus Christ the Spirit without measure!  Jesus was capable of overcoming the weakness of the flesh, the infirmity of the flesh He was given, by the Spirit! The Spirit that we can have in us as well! The Spirit of adoption!

Please, Abba, Father, please give us the Spirit without measure, not because we deserve it, we do not and NEVER will, but because we choose You, we love You! Help us to love You! Help us to believe You. Please, Father God in Heaven, please save us!

All through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Savior!

Now and forever!

Amen!
