Receive not of her plagues

Being a part of society it almost seems impossible to keep from sinning- to not partake of the sins all around us.   Being told to come out of that which is sinful is truth. Sin is appalling not something to be cherished and fought for, not something to be nurtured and loved. Sin separates us from God.

Come out of anything that causes us to partake of sin, can we do that? And when we come away from sin where are we going to? We go to Christ! Christ alone can keep us from sin.  We have to separate ourselves form sin, to choose to be separated from sin by the Holy Spirit.

People will be receive plagues. All the movie makers, story writers can portray the plagues as fictional, but they are a part of the truth to come.

People suffer for sinning all the time. Why do we imagine people shouldn't suffer for willfully sinning? Why?  We do comprehend doing wrong and being punished. Even the most hardened person understands punishing  someone for wrong doing. Parents punish their children for wrong doing. Authority figures punish those they are in authority over. We punish each other when we feel slighted. Punishment doesn't have to be severe, it can be as simple as giving someone the silent treatment. The punishment for willfully sinning, choosing to serve sin, choosing to divorce yourself from God, from love, from salvation is going to be awful. It's supposed to be awful, it's supposed to get people to comprehend they are making the wrong choice. The truth understood is supposed to wake people up to their predicament. The old hell fire and damnation is truth, but it must be coupled with the LOVE of God!  Once the plagues arrive it's TOO LATE. We have to get out before the plagues fall. We can't wait for them to hit to believe. We can't feel a taste of the wrath of God and then decide to have faith, it'll be too late by then!

How many people change when circumstances aren't in their favor, but would never consider changing when things are going the way they want them too?

God doesn't play that kind of game.  Evil plays that kind of game.

Rev 18:4  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

More on this tomorrow by the grace of GOD, through the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Amen.
